Experience and skills : Work experience is definitely preferred, but there are many roles in Mining to accomodate all walks of life. Below are some entry level jobs, and their preferred background experience.

1. Trade assistant
- While some entry-level jobs require no prior mining experience, experience in Labouring, working with machinery or tools concreting, construction ect. Will be preferred for this role.

2. Utility/Camp staff.
- If you have a hospitality background, worked in cleaning before or have any admin skills. Utility/Camp staff work is a great way to get into the industry.

3. Strong Safety Awareness.
- Mining is a high-risk industry, so understanding workplace health and safety (WHS) regulations is important.

4. Drillers Offsider.
- Often achievable without prior mining experience, and very well paid for entry level mining. This is a strenuous job and not for everybody. Doing your own research on this industry before applying is recommended.

5. Trainee ships.
